Youth Transitional Housing Facility

Currently, the City is exploring the potential of a Youth Transitional Housing Facility. This recommendation has arisen out of the 2020 Mayor’s Task Force to end Homelessness and is infomed by the 2024 Youth Transitional Housing Feasibility Report. I’ve linked both below:

City Council will be receiving additional information in our Committee of the Whole meeting March 10th. Residents are welcome to attend and speak or simply observe for additional information:

I have posted some of my initial thoughts on my Councillor Korotash Facebook page however remain open to feedback as we are just beginning to engage residents, particularly with respect to the proposed location of 18 Sir Winston Churchill avenue (the old firehwall site accross from Lions Park).
